Snake Day

Astia Eco-Education Centre is holding a Snake Day on Saturday 24th November 10.30 for 11.00 am. The cost is R20 per person and R10 for children under 12.

What you can expect:

· Talk on our dangerous snakes by Garth Carpenter.

· Display of snakes. Learn how to identify them.

· Refreshments and lunch will be available or bring your own. Braai (BBQ) & picnic facilities available

· A self-guided, clearly marked nature trail.


Shady areas to spread your blanket or set out your chairs to relax and enjoy the peace of nature.

Directions: From the freeway (N3) take exit 69 to Ashburton. At stop street turn right. The second turning to the right is Eland Drive. Turn right down Eland Drive. Travel to the bottom of Eland Drive and turn right into Astia. The same directions apply whether you are travelling towards or away from Pietermaritzburg. (Astia is +- 10kms on the Durban side of Pietermaritzburg)
